# Card transactions

> List issuer activity for a cardholder's card, including a closed card.

Returns activity for the cardholder's card. Unlike [get card](https://docs.xwift.africa/api-reference/cards/get.md), this still resolves a `terminated` or `terminating` card.

`type` and `status` on each row are the issuer's values, lowercased. `page`, `limit`, and `total` are included when the issuer returns them.

**user\_id** `string` *required*

Cardholder id returned by [create card user](https://docs.xwift.africa/api-reference/cards/create-user.md).

**query** `string`

Optional search string forwarded to the issuer.

**from** `string`

Optional start of the range, forwarded to the issuer.

**to** `string`

Optional end of the range, forwarded to the issuer.

**type** `string`

Optional transaction type filter, forwarded to the issuer.

**status** `string`

Optional status filter, forwarded to the issuer.

**data.user\_id** `string`

Cardholder id.

**data.transactions** `array`

Rows with `date`, `type`, `status`, `amount`, `currency`, `balance_before`, `balance_after`, `authorization` (`amount` and `currency`, or `null`), `created_at`, and `processed_at`.

### Errors

| Message | When |
| - | - |
| `Card user not found.` | `user_id` is missing for this partner |
| `Card not found.` | The cardholder has no card |
| `Partner not found.` | The API key does not match a partner |
| `An unexpected error occurred. Please try again.` | Transactions could not be loaded |
